I just found out that this past week was Otter Awareness Week at Sea World ....yeah...i missed it..Bummer. I totally missed my chance to see the new baby otter AND they had otter face painting...can we just stop talking about it? Anyhoo.......but check this out:

Last week, U.S. Rep. Sam Farr, D-Carmel, reintroduced the Southern Sea Otter Recovery and Research Act in order to support and organize sea otter research and population recovery programs under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service of the Department of the Interior. It's nice to have otter lovers in the government.
