Can I try a sample please?
Grandparent Scams are creepy....and REAL
So, while visiting my grandma today with my brother, my grandma received a phone call from an unknown number.
The caller on the phone said, "Hi, Grandma Lucey?"
She responded "yes".
Then he continued, "this is your favorite grandson," and started to talk about something about Canada.
My grandma kept repeating, "who is this?" to which the caller would just repeat "your favorite grandson!"
My grandma knew he was lying because of all days, her Grandson was actually sitting right in front of her in her living room.....and that is exactly what she told the man on the phone who then proceeded to hang up.
This is called the Grandparent Scam (<---click here to read more) and I actually heard about this on the Today show months ago. This is when telephone schemers take advantage of seniors' emotional ties to grandchildren, by pretending to be them and then try to steal money from them.

And I witnessed it today, first hand, at my Grandma's......Thank god she is a sharp one and was able to tell right off the bat that she did not recognize the voice. But some other Grandparents may easily fall for this sick sick trick.
Pass this on to any old folks you love.

Where's my Chippy?
Raphael is cool but crude (Gimme a break!)

(too bad until I google searched how to spell Raphael....I always thought they said "Cool but RUDE".....wow....my world has just been turned upside down.)
Just found the concert set list of their "Coming out of Their Shell" Tour that was sponsored by Pizza Hut:
- "Coming Out of Our Shells!"
- "Sing About It"
- "Tubin'"
- "Skipping Stones"
- "Pizza Power"
- "Walk Straight"
- "No Treaties"
- "Cowabunga"
- "April Ballad"
- "Count on Us"
Donatello on keyboards. Leonardo played bass guitar. Raphael was on drums & sax (DUH--no wonder he was my favorite. Anyone who knows me knows I play a mean air sax---that's what she said) and Michelangelo played guitar.

This is going to be my next purchase

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love blended drinks and if I could, I would drink everything blended or with shaved ice. Not sure why I never thought about buying one of these things before, but hello??? A shaved ice machine for 39 bucks, yes please.
I was going to buy one of these since I loved them as a kid and they were just recently re-released but then I thought about how much work it is to crank that little wheel in the back to get aDixie cup size worth of ice....it would take me days to make one margaritas.

So i guess I will get the grown up version which is also ELECTRIC. I only wish the grown-up version came with the snow shovel scooper and nasty red colored flavoring....but I can't really be picky now can I?
